We would have preferred to set up on the beach but not having a 4wd has prevented us accessing this camp site. We spend the whole day under the shelter and swimming in the beach, the light sea breeze is ensuring we do not feel the full weight of the forecast 37 degrees. The change comes through at 6.30am the next day. It's so windy that we have to get up and put the awning away. The strong cool breeze allows us to sleep in late and as there is no check out time at these campsites we take full advantage of not having to be away at 10am. It has cost us $8 in fees for the night and we have had a sensational day and night on the beach. Beach cricket is the last activity before we leave. Max is doing quite well after all the tips from Greg, although he has started shouting I'm going to knock your bloody head off as he bowls because Greg torments him with this line when bowling bent arm to him.... Day 51-52 Haslam Tuesday Jan 20th - Wednesday Jan 21st Haslam is only 2okm down the road and another cheap campsite ($5 per night).
