Auteur de plusieurs publications scientifiques il est actuellement basé à Quito (Equateur) où il étudie la dynamique des communautés d'insectes. Des sommets andins à la forêt amazonienne et jusqu'aux Galápagos, l'Équateur, zone de forte biodiversité mondiale, abrite une faune et une flore uniques au monde.
