Reportage à MEXCALTITAN, une petite île mexicaine surnommée la "Venise mexicaine". Dans cette île en forme d'étoile posée dans le delta du Rio San Pedro (à quelques kilometres de l’Océan Pacifique) vivent les pêcheurs de crevettes regroupés en coopérative. Même si en ce moment les crues du Rio San Pedro n'apportent plus la quantité d'eau douce nécessaire à la croissance des crevettes, les habitants de cette île trouvent toujours la force de faire la fête la nuit. - Arrivée di vendeur de lait à dos d'âne, il décharge sa bête et il met le lait sur une petite barque à moteur / interview (traduction off) du vendeur de lait / camera subjective sur la rivière. - Generique titre / Differentes VA de l'île à forme d'étoile entourée des marais - Enfants se baignant - Femmes faisant secher les crevettes sur le trottoir / femme payant le lait / enfant annonçant dans la rue que son père le boucher a tué un cochon / habitants venant acheter les morceaux de viande (c'est le boucher qui delimite la raction de viande a vendre à chaque famille en fonction des membres de celle ci). - Interview (traduction off) d'une femme venue acheter le fromage. - [Différents plans] village / fonctionnaire dans bureau puis dans la rue (cet homme cumule toutes les fonctions : gouverneur, policier ect...). Interview de cet homme (traduction off) plein écran d'abord puis en off sur plans du village : "il faut limiter le nombre d'habitants" / Homme demandant à une standardiste de lui faire un n°, puis téléphonant à Santiagop pour connaître les previsions méteorlogiques / suite interview : "A SANTIAGO ne savent pas... Nous ici on attend l'eau, quand l'eau du fleuve monte la crevette grossi. - Homme dans atelier de fabrication de la glace pour conserver les crevettes. - Interview de don Pasquale (traduction off ) :" cette usine fourni la glace nécessaire au transport des crevetets jusqu'à SANTIAGO "/ homme trasportant la glace. - Ois...
