7. The Ballad Of Danny Bailey (1909-34) (Elton John-Live In Chicago: 9/16/1988)

After uploading a couple 1970s concerts, lets balance out the uploads with this late 80s concert from the "Reg Strikes Back Tour." Elton John had just released "Reg Strikes Back," and embarked on a "try-out tour" of North America (before he went into a full-blown world tour). The sound quality is excellent! This gig goes down very well! You will hear some new stuff, the "hits," and some rather underrated gems! Elton sounds great, and you can hear a cross between his 1982-1985 "prime voice," and the voice he currently has! Elton sings an excellent rendition of "Saturday Night’s Alright For Fighting," and even goes for the higher notes (proof that his falsetto/higher range wasn't totally eliminated after his 1987 throat surgery) at times! ENJOY!!!
