She wanted to just curl up, Her face against a pillow. The desperate need to cry, For her to just stop holding them back- To just allow herself to cry. But she couldn’t, It was like her eyes were dry. Yet she could feel tears building, Burning her very eyes. "Why do you feel lonely?" A small voice had asked. "I feel like I have no one, that I'm better of dead." The sentence itself Didn't spill from her lips. It was just one of many, Things that she had thought. The thoughts.. The powerful voices, The worthless words. The things that exposed her hurt. But this thought she had, Was much more different, It was one of the worse. That drove her to doing, What she would regret. She looked in her draw, Where she kept her sharp knife. "Don't do it." The voice had hissed. "I have to, It helps me." As She slid it across her wrist. The pain that ran through her, A sudden distraction to her mind. As she repeated over and over, 'Til the thoughts drained from- her mind. The blade she had been using, Fell upon the desk as her wrists- Kept on oozing, they looked a mess. The blood kept on seeping, As tears filled her eyes. She sat there horrified at what, Had just crossed her mind. Would it be the answer, The easy way out? She no longer knew, What she lived for. She was just drowning within, She had ...
