Poetry Hides Poetry hides in many things, it hides in roses and wedding rings. Poetry hides in the glistening stars, poetry hides in places afar. Poetry hides in the dews of the grass, it hides in the eyes so glazed like glass. Poetry hides in pictures so grand, it hides in the waves crashing on sand. Poetry hides in the words we speak, poetry hides at a mountain’s peak. The scenery hides poetry as well; it hides in the ringing of old church bells. Poetry takes many disguises, many forms, it hides in hearts both loving and torn. It hides in the hymns we sing, and in our rhymes, it hides in old stories and sweet, sweet chimes. It hides in that abandoned lot around the corner, it hides in a sorrowful mourner. Poetry hides in places unseen, the shadows, the thickness, our own blood and genes. Poetry hides where none shall look, a song, a person, an old classic book. A sunset, or rise a twilight or dawn, the trees and flowers in your very own lawn. Each holds its own sense of rhythm and will never disappear, as long as someone will lend an ear. To find the poetry hidden inside the tune of a bird that soars and glides. Listen to the poetry of a butterfly's wings, or the chill in a breeze, listen to the warm heart that will never cease. Poetry hides in all that you touch, a smile, a laugh, a heart and such.
