Braveheart-The Battle Rout.

Favourite Film Clip No.2. I was in Thailand when this Epic Movie first graced our silver screens but I did manage to see it on a Pub Television whilst hovering around on Kau Sarn Road. It was a reasonable VHS copy and it certainly pulled in a crowd, stirring emotions of Pride and Love for the country which lay thousands of miles away from me at that time. There was’nt that much Scottish involvement with regard to the Production of the Movie, Mel Gibson from Australia, a Hollywood Studio and some Irish Landscapes, but it was good for Scotland, with a new statue of William Wallace mounted in the Car Park at the point where you start the climb up towards the Monument just outside Stirling The Bronze effigy looks a lot like Mel Gibson though, an uncanny resemblence to say the least.
