CO: TOW RESCUES HORSE

## Shot 03/12/2010. ## FOUNTAIN - A large tow truck pulled a horse to freedom Friday morning after a lengthy rescue operation conducted by Fountain and Hanover fire departments. The horse, Sky, was stuck in mud up to its chest for around 4 hours in the 17000 block of Old Pueblo Road before finally being pulled out with assistance from Randy’s Towing company at no charge around 9:20 a.m. The owner attempted to get the 2,100 pound horse out on his own but ended up getting stuck in the mud and had to be pulled out. The exhausted horse was able to walk away from the incident rattled but healthy.
