TU-154 crashes outside Smolensk,Russia. 96 onboard.Polish President killed

Polish Air Force plane TU-154M, regn 101,crashed in Russia,believed 96(88 passengers and 8 crew) onboard.no survivors,was enroute from Warsaw Frederic Chopin airport to Smolensk Military airport. *Do not confuse Smolensk Military with Smolensk Civil airport in the south LNX. WAW/EPWA to XUBS., crashed in thick fog. Occurred at 1056hrs local time/0756hrs CET. Polish president and his wife both believed killed.,and other Polish officials. The aircraft was on approach to Smolensk airport,it collided with some trees,then crashed,about 700metres away. Russian local authorities suggest the accident was due to Human Error-by pilot clipping the trees upon landing. Apparently the pilot was offered to divert to Moscow or Minsk,but decided to land at Smolensk in the thick fog. MAK the Russian safety board are investigating the accident. see website = Smolensk Military airport was the home of Mig23 in the Col War and later Mig29 fighters ,still an active Military airport today. It is believed that Smolensk Military airport and the Tu-154m aircraft were using differing and not compatible landing systems. Russian system versus the European ILS system. Also that the Air Traffic Control operators were talking Russian and the Tu154m pilots may have tried to talk in English-the only acceptable language for ATC worldwide.Perhaps the aircraft pilots did not understand the Russian language and therefore was a contributing factor to the crash.
