WC 2010 vs Slovakia - Italy’s Disallowed Goal #1

Super goal by #18, Fabio QUAGLIARELLA, disallowed by referee. The defender’s right knee is clearly well behind the line. The ball fully crosses the line before it is returned, as demonstrated in the stop-motion of the video. This is the first of Quagliarella's two disqualified goals. Pirlo and Quagliarella carried the team to what was really a 4-3 victory but the refrees denied them. Review of 3 bad calls against Italy in this game by some sports analysts, extensive footage available-- UPDATE: Fifa seems to be taking down all related videos including the one I linked to above. And the link wasnt even Fifa footage, it was a foreign channel's analysis using all camera angles. So far my video hasnt been axed. Ppl commenting on this video shouldnt argue whether Italy was good enough or not for the next rounds. Everyone knows Italy conceded 3 easy goals against Slovakia that shouldnt have gone in due to Italy's slow defense and the absence of injured Buffon. But despite the lackluster defense, the offense was able to put forth 4 goals and Italy could've had a chance to restructure their Defensive line-up in the round of 16, if proper refereeing was performed. Bc in reality, Italy didnt play as good as it should have, but it played good enough to clinch a win. I dont think anything wouldve been enough to see the former champs reach the Finals this year with an older Cannavaro and an injured Buffon, and all Italy fans will concede that. And this is soccer, worse calls have been made. But Fifa needs to implement replays to correct all of that. We'll always see this as a 4-3 victory that sent italy home, bc thats what it was.
