Tiger Woods is Being Bullied By the Media

iReport — Have you heard enough about Tiger Woods and how wrong he was to cheat on his wife, Elin? Every angle of this story has been covered in every way. Have we learned something important from Tiger’s story? Tiger is a great golfer- one of the world's best. Did we look to him to teach us morality or for entertainment? Is it now entertainment to watch him apologize nationally to all of us for something Tiger did to his wife and kids? Did he let America and it's youth down by being unfaithful to Elin?He never disappointed us on the golf course. Sure, it was disappointing to learn that Tiger was a mere mortal, vulnerable to failure, of human shortcomings. But Tiger was never a person that bragged about how great he was. Others did that for him. Tiger was always quiet and humble. He just loved to play golf. We made him into a superman, our hero. We were disappointed to see him not measure up to our expectations. Tiger didn't expect this from us. Tiger, we found, was just a man. Tiger is going through what many Americans experience when their marriages miss the green and end up in the rough. This is a time for healing and introspection. None of us would want the constant harassment from news reporters asking many personal questions about the nature of our relationship with our wives or husbands. There was no crime committed. Tiger is guilty of one thing and one thing only. Being human. We all make mistakes. Those that pursue him are exploiting him for a story and being insensitive to what we would all want for ourselves- privacy. I believe this Tiger story has been beat to death and so has Tiger and his family to the point of bullying. We have students in Massachusetts charged with involvement for their bullying of a 15 year old girl that lead her to commit suicide. We teach bullying to our youth by this unrelenting media coverage of Tiger Woods, and the attacks on politicians that don't agree with our ideologies.
