Smith & Wesson Homeland Security Knife - or is it?

Smith and Wesson Medium Homeland Security folding knife... or is it? No! It actually is not. Imagine my surprise when I saw a video on YouTube reviewing the S&W MHS folder and realised "I have one of those!" although mine isn’t from the renowned Smith & Wesson manufacturer, but by a nearly unknown low-cost, medium-quality brand called Asaklitt. This knife is virtually identical to the S&W MHS knife. Shape of the handle and blade are identical. The materials it is made form, the steel of the blade, the weight, length, rivets, liner and liner lock are exactly the same. The blade is made from 440C stainless steel, just like the S&W knife. Can anyone explain this to me? Did S&W buy a whole lot of cheap-o knives and slapped their logo on them, and called them "high quality"? Don't get me wrong, this knife far exceeds my expectations for the Asaklitt brand, but still... shouldnt S&W a few notches up the scale anyway? Or isnt S&W the high-quality brand I thought them to be? I have sent questions to both Asaklitt and S&W asking what the deal is. I am still waiting for either of them to reply.
