Alan Lee Kung Fu Wu Su 1985 Temple Demo 4 (Advanced Fighting)

Some scenes from Grandmaster Alan Lee’s Kung-fu wu-su temple demo. Almost no one trains like this anymore. This was old school training at it's best. Bear in mind that everything you see in these clips is all WAY toned down for the audience. Things are done slower, softer, with much less power and strength or ferocity than done in real training in private when no one else is around. You would think that everyone is trying to literally kill each other but that is the way that training had to be done coming out of the 70's and early 80's and it's the way that real kung-fu was always trained. Unfortunately even those who are told they're learning kung-fu are in fact only learning wushu (martial sport) and not wu-su (military fighting art), so when the former gets into a real fight, they're often unable to defend themselves successfully at all as many sadly learned the hard way.
