Full recap up next! Welcome back to ClevverMusic guys, I'm Bridget Daly. The contestants on American Idol this week all sang a song from their birth year, and when it came time for Casey Abrams to sing, he decided on Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit." What sounded like a cool idea at first, however, quickly turned into a disaster. He growled the lyrics into the mic and likely scared off a lot of the tween girls watching the show. We're a little afraid Kurt Cobain himself is rolling over in his grave. Keep in mind this is the sweet bearded guy who sang Joe Cocker's "I Get By With a Little Help from My Friends" on last week's show. Not sure how so much can change in one week! The judges seemed a little put off by it, but gave Casey pretty positive feedback on the song. But Casey is getting slammed in most of the blogs out there. So it's time for you to weigh in now.
