The people here are very friendly, much more so than in the large Vietnamese cities. We stayed at the "No problem" Guest house on Boeng Kak Lake and it was really no problem. A double room with bathroom for AU$6? No Problem. It also had a nice restaurant built over the lake where you can chill out, play some pool, read your book or watch one of the many DVDs they have there. Liam randomly met a guy he'd met in China months before so now there were 3 of us. Chris also had plans to go to Siam Reap in few days so we decide to travel together. We went to the S-21 prison/genocide museum. This was a former high school that was converted to a prison/execution/torture centre during the brutal Khmer Rouge regime in the 70ties. I felt quite sick during the visit. There are signs that tell you not to speak but I don't think they were necessary. Everyone was silent anyways. Next day we went to shoot some guns at the local shooting range. You can fire anything from pistols to grenade launchers. A grenade launcher will set you back around $300. I think this includes the option of shooting at a live cow. You can also tape a grenade to a cow, pull the pin and run. Grenades are $40. I don't know if this is true but some people say that you can shoot lepers for a few thousand dollars. The money goes to his/her ...
