国の暫定基準値を超える放射性セシウムが検出された牛肉。12日、新たに秋田県にも流通していたことがわかり、少なくとも9つの都道府県に拡大した。食品の安全への揺らぎも広がっている。北海道・千歳市の焼き肉店「焚火屋」経営者は、涙ながらに「若い時から一生懸命築き上げたものが、駄目になるかもしれませんけど、誠心誠意、対応いたしますので、今回、『焚火家』でご飲食いただいた皆さまには、深くおわび申し上げます」と謝罪した。福島・南相馬市に端を発する牛肉ショックは、北の大地をも揺るがした。「焚火屋」経営者は「わたしも知らなかったとはいえ、提供したのは事実ですので、ご飲食いただいた皆さま、全力で今、調べてますので、すぐ対応できるように何とかしますので」と話した。この店で客に提供していた焼き肉などが、南相馬市の農家が出荷した牛6棟のうちの1頭のものであることがわかった。北海道が煮込み料理に残った検査をしたところ、放射性セシウムが検出されたが、暫定基準値を下回った。全国に広がる汚染牛の波紋。各都道府県は、調査に乗り出した。高知市では、市内のスーパーで売られていた肉から、暫定基準値を超える2,710ベクレルの放射性セシウムが検出された。高知県は会見で、「今回のこの牛肉を食べたということで、健康への影響というのはないと考えておりますので、ご安心いただきたい」と発表した。また、神奈川・藤沢市では、回収した牛肉を検査した結果、暫定基準値を超える3,240ベクレルの放射性セシウムが検出された。藤沢市は、1年間繰り返し食べ続けることは考えにくいことから、健康上の問題はないとしている。細川律夫厚生労働相も、問題の牛肉を食べても心配ないと話している。細川厚労相は「あまり心配はされない方がよろしいかと思います」と述べた。消費者側へは安心という呼びかけが出る一方で、生産者側の不安は現実のものになった。12日、福島県で開かれた競りでついた値段は、ものによっては通常の半分となり、福島県産牛肉への不安感が如実に表れた。競りの参加者は「きょうは最悪だな、もう」と話した。計画的避難区域と緊急時避難準備区域を対象に、全頭検査を行う方針の福島県は12日、田村市から出荷された12頭すべての牛肉の検査を実施した。その結果、いずれも放射性セシウムは検出されなかった。安全が確認されたことから、市場に流通させる予定。
