V has been doing the rounds promoting her new flick and just this morning the gorgeous brunette had a live chat with Mr. Ryan Seacrest on his radio show. He finally cracked the case when he asked the actress for the full story on her new ink — So, why exactly did Vanessa opt for a butterfly tattoo? Vanessa broke down the whole story and it's actually pretty sweet. She explained that she's "wanted it for a few years now, because a week before [she] was born a butterfly landed on [her] mom's stomach in the park. So they found the name Vanessa from Mariposa," which for those of you guys who aren't down with the Espanol -- Mariposa means butterfly in Spanish. Cool story, right?
