This time I'm in Potosi Bolivia the highest city in the world at around 4100 meters above sea level. Flying from Chile to Bolivia has been a welcome relief to the hip pocket but seriously bad for my health. I think I last wrote in Valparaiso, Chile. We spent two days in Valparaiso and the second day was spent sightseeing around the town and visiting Vina del Mar. The weather wasn't the best for our day of sightseeing but we did manage to get some good food and also get lost by getting on the wrong bus which took us to a different town. No big drama we just got off the bus and walked to the other side of the road and hopped on another bus, easy fix. Valparaiso and Vina del Mar were both really nice cities located very close to one another. Valparaiso was characterized by its steep hills which the city is based on whereas Vina del Mar was a lot less undulating. We had a decent dinner that night and caught a bus to Santiago the next morning. We arrived in Santiago after a 2.5 hour bus ride and we checked into our home for three nights the Andes Hostel. Santiago is a beautiful city, it is clean, organized and has very good infrastructure in comparison to its other South American neighbours. To ...
