急速に拡大するLCC(格安航空会社)。15日から韓国・ジンエアーの仁川(インチョン) - 新千歳線、そして中国・春秋航空の上海 - 高松線がそれぞれ就航した。片道、最安値だと3,000円での新規参入となる。そして、地方は、このLCC誘致に活性化を賭けている。割安な運賃設定で、ここ数年脚光を浴びる「Low Cost Carrier」、格安航空会社。15日、新たに中国のLCC・春秋航空の定期便が、香川県の高松空港に就航した。利用客は「格安やね。近くにできたし、便利だと思います」、「実家があちらなので、結構、年に1度は帰ったりはするので、これからもずっと続けていただけたら助かりますね」などと話した。茨城 - 上海を結ぶ路線では、片道1,000円の航空券を販売し、日本での知名度を上げた春秋航空。高松便でも、期間限定ながら、最安3,000円の格安料金を設定。東日本大震災の影響で延期されたものの、15日にようやく、7カ月遅れで定期便の就航が実現した。高松市内の商店街では、早速、中国語の文字で観光客を歓迎した。商店街の人は「経済効果、多少なりは良くなるん違うかなと」、「スタッフが、まず中国語をきのうから勉強行ってるんで。(期待は?)はい、しています。もうすごくしています」などと話した。人々が期待を寄せる格安の翼。その理由は、購買力豊富な中国人観光客の取り込みにある。中国人観光客は「予算はクレジットカードで8万元(約100万円)を用意しています」、「気に入るものがあれば買いたいです。それぐらいの予算はあります」などと話した。しかし、中国人に人気がある日本の観光地は、東京・京都・富士山などで、香川が目的という人は、ほとんどいないというのが現実。こうした中、香川の良さをアピールして、何とか中国人観光客をつなぎとめようと、さまざまな趣向を凝らした取り組みも行われている。春秋航空の定期便は、茨城空港に続き2路線目。実は、香川県知事自らのトップセールスで実現した。香川県の浜田恵造知事は「香川県の経済、または文化、いろんな面での発展の原動力にしたい」と述べた。香川県は、上海便の利用促進のため、2011年度予算に、春秋航空や中国の旅行会社への補助金など、1億4,400万円を計上し、県を挙げて誘致に動いた形となる。商店街の人は「1回来ていただいたら、たぶん中国へ帰って、高松はこんなところだというのを、お話してくれると思うんですよ」と話した。一方、北海道の新千歳空港でも1...
