For the first time in its five year history, the NYC Half will be broadcast live on the New York Road Runners website, In addition to the race day broadcast, New York Road Runners Live and New York Road Runners Daily Cool Down beginning on Thursday March 17 will preview all of the action and be shown at tv.nyrr.org. Viewers will be able to tune in at 7:15 am on Sunday, March 20, to tv.nyrr.org to view the race. With a host of US stars including Ryan Hall, Meb Keflezighi, Galen Rupp, and Kara Goucher, ready to race against tough international competition including reigning ING New York City Marathon champions Gebre Gebremariam of Ethiopia and Edna Kiplagat of Kenya, as well as Great Britain’s Mo Farah and Jo Pavey, it will be a race not to miss. Award-winning sportscaster Bruce Beck and former London Times Olympics and athletics writer David Powell will call the action. Beck and Powell will also host New York Road Runners Live on Thursday, March 17, and Friday, March 18, at 12:00 noon. New York Road Runners Live provides an insider's look at the 2011 NYC Half with analysis, in-depth discussions on the latest news, and updates and interviews with athletes, guest experts, and coaches.
