ApSci - 'Under Control'

Multicultural electro-hop duo ApSci doesn’t drop its sophomore full-length Best Crisis Ever until Aug. 11. But the pair — Bronx’s Ra LaMotta and his Filipino-Australian spouse, Dana Diaz-Tutaan — has been busy with the iPhone on the ApSci video for “Under Control,” embedded above and offered as a free download below.LaMotta and Diaz-Tutaan made the video using nothing but their iPhone, a portable printer and a webcam. They performed the track in front of the webcam and printed it up into the handheld snapshots that fly by in the globe-hopping video, which hopscotches from Brooklyn to the Grand Canyon, Vegas, Hawaii and Australia at the speed of sound. They took additional shots using the iPhone, then mashed the production nightmare into an eye-tripping visual for their body-rocking song.In other words, ApSci’s video has no video in it. No post-production either.A North American tour follows in the fall. Sounds pretty as a digital picture.
