STOCKTON, Calif. — A Stockton teenager was stunned with a Taser after an outburst in class, his family said. Anthony Jones, 15, is autistic and attends a special class catered to his needs at Delta College in Stockton. His family said he had a tantrum in class after receiving a grade on a test that he did not like. "It breaks my heart he was tased," said Don Arlt, the teen’s grandfather. "I can't believe it." Anthony was asked to leave the class after his outburst, his mother, Tajmah Jones, said. When he refused to leave the school, police were called. Tajmah Jones said a school official told her the police went to remove Anthony from the class and he resisted, reaching for one of the officer's guns. That's when he was stunned with a Taser, she said. The Delta College Police Department would not specifically comment on the incident, only saying one of its officers has used a Taser on campus. Jones was taken to San Joaquin General Hospital to have a barb removed from his body. His mother told KCRA 3 the teenager was later transported to a mental health facility.
