[뉴스웨이TV] 한나라당, `물의 날' 맞아 4대강 사업 당위성 강조 : 4대강,4대강사업,물의날,민주당,사업,안상수,정몽준,최고위원회의,한나라당,UNㆍ영상길이 : 03:03ㆍ등록자 : 뉴스웨이ㆍ등록일시 : 2010.03.22 (16:13) 【촬영=뉴스웨이 생생TV / 이인수 기자】(서울=뉴스웨이 윤미숙 기자) 한나라당은 22일 UN이 정한 '제18회 세계 물의 날'을 맞아 4대강 사업의 당위성을 부각시키는 데 주력했다. 정몽준 대표는 이날 최고위원회의에서 "많은 나라들이 물 부족을 겪는 현실을 개선하기 위해 지난 1992년 UN에서 매년 3월 22일을 물의 날로 선포했다"며 "21세기에 들어서면서 물은 '블루 골드'로 불릴 만큼 가치가 커지고 있다"고 말했다. 그러면서 정몽준 대표는 "4대강 사업은 죽은 강을 되살리고 수자원을 충분히 확보하는 좋은 사업"이라며 "오늘 물의 날을 계기로 물의 소중함과 4대강 사업의 당위성을 다시 한 번 생각해봤으면 한다"고 강조했다. 최근 영산강 4공구 승촌보 건설 현장을 방문했던 안상수 원내대표는 "승촌보 공사 현장과 영산강을 둘러보면서 4대강 사업의 필요성을 절감했다"며 "영산강 살리기 공사가 완료되면 수질이 좋아져 깨끗한 물을 이용한 친환경 농산물 생산으로 농가소득을 올릴 수 있고, 수량도 풍부해져 물 부족 해결에 도움이 될 것"이라고 확신했다. 특히 안상수 원내대표는 "영산강 살리기 사업은 광주·전남 공동 혁신도시 건설과도 밀접하게 관련돼 있다"면서 "호남의 젖줄인 영산강이 제대로 살아나고 물길이 열리면 영산강에 인접한 광주·전남 공동 혁신도시 조성에도 상당한 도움이 될 것"이라고 밝혔다. 이어 안상수 원내대표는 4대강 사업에 반대하는 민주당을 겨냥, "민주당은 지역 주민 대부분이 찬성하는 영산강 살리기를 포함한 4대강 사업 전부를 반대하는 선동 정치를 중단하고 어떻게 하면 광주·전남 공동 혁신도시 개발과 영산강 공사를 연계해 시너지효과를 거둘 수 있는지에 대해 진지한 고민을 해야 한다"고 충고했다. 기사 제보 및 보도자료(뉴스웨이) pressdot@newsway.kr
