Back To The Egg TV Special 3/8: 'Old Siam Sir'

The Back to the Egg TV special was a Programme containing Music Videos from the Wings album Back to the Egg. It was first broadcast on BBC 1 on June 10, 1981, two years after the album had been released. Two of the videos ("Goodnight Tonight" and "Baby’s Request") were released on The McCartney Years DVD boxset in 2007, however they were very heavily cropped and Goodnight Tonight is has different footage here. Other snippets of these performances were briefly shown on the 'Wingspan' documentry This special in it's complete original form has has yet to be released. Filmed in May-June, 1979, in Kent, Lympne Castle and surroundings areas, except for "Goodnight Tonight", which was filmed in Hammersmith Palais, London, on April, 1979. Running Order: - Intro/Getting Closer - Baby's Request - Old Siam Sir - Winter Rose - Love Awake - Spin It On - Again And Again And Again - Arrow Through Me - Goodnight Tonight/Outro Essentially the songs audio are the same except they added a fake audience sound effect. I have kept these in but replaced the vhs quality music with HQ audio of the songs to provide a much better listening experience. Final note: 6 months after this special was recorded Paul had his infamous drug bust in Japan, which shelved plans for a world tour with this Wings line-up. It pretty much confirmed the end of Wings when Paul released McCartney II as a follow up.
