Serial Killer loose in New York

Police today faced the grisly task of searching for the bodies of more victims of a suspected serial killer who has killed at least four people in New York. Officers found three bodies on a New York beach yesterday - two days after the skeletal remains of a fourth person were found nearby. Officials believe that all four people were murdered and their bodies dumped at the scene by a killer in a car. Today detectives revealed they fear more bodies may be discovered. 'We are going to continue to search the area for the possibility of more bodies,' said Suffolk County Police Commissioner Richard Dormer. 'This is a desolate area here - it may be a dumping ground.' None of the victims has been identified yet although police sources said at least two are women and one may be that of Shonnan Gilbert, a 24-year-old prostitute who vanished in May. Police are now scrambling to investigate other reports of missing women in the area. Three more decomposing bodies, two of which were wrapped in canvas, were found yesterday.
