第23回高松宮殿下記念世界文化賞の受賞者発表 音楽部門は指揮者・小澤征爾さん

芸術・文化の分野で優れた功績を挙げた人に贈られる第23回高松宮殿下記念世界文化賞の受賞者が決まり、イギリス・ロンドンで発表会見が行われた。発表会見は、日本時間11日午後8時から始まり、日本美術協会総裁の常陸宮さまご夫妻も出席された。2011年は、音楽部門で日本の指揮者・小澤征爾さん(75)、演劇・映像部門ではイギリスの女優、ジュディ・デンチさんら、5人の受賞者が決まった。絵画部門の受賞者、アメリカのビル・ヴィオラさんは、「ビデオ・アート」界の第一人者として、その芸術性を飛躍的に高めた。彫刻部門、イギリスのアニッシュ・カプーアさんは、小さな作品から巨大な作品まで話題作を発表している。建築部門、メキシコのリカルド・レゴレッタさんは、大胆な色使いや斬新なフォルムなど、独自のスタイルを築いた。音楽部門、指揮者の小澤征爾さんは、病気から本格復帰を果たした「世界のオザワ」の今後の活動に注目が集まる。演劇・映像部門、イギリスの女優、ジュディ・デンチさんは、幅広い活躍で「イギリスの人間国宝」ともたたえられている。若手芸術家奨励制度には、イギリスのロイヤル・コート劇場若手劇作家プログラムと、イギリスのサウスバンク・シンフォニアの2組が選ばれた。授賞式は10月に行われる。
