Pre Market Movers: April 8, 2011
Equity futures are pointing higher this morning with the Dow Jones Industrial Average looking to open 48 points higher while the broader S&P500 index is looking to open 6 points higher. Moving fast in the pre-market session are shares of Expedia up over 14% on news that the company announced plans to split into two publicly-traded firms; Tempur-Pedic International up 11% after the company raised its full-year forecast; and shares of Seagate Technology are up 8% on its improved outlook. Shares of Navios Maritime Partners LP are down over 5% after the company announced a public offering of 4 million common units; and shares of Hercules Offshore are down 10% after the company said it was subpoenaed by the SEC in a probe of possible violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.
