In just 2 episodes into Day 7, already so much has built up towards this inevitable face off between Jack Bauer and Tony Almeida. This was one of the truly defining moments for the new season, a single moment. Prior to the showdown, both Jack and Renee tracked Tony to a rural boat used as his base of operations, and quickly took down his domestic terrorist group. And with Renee occupied on tracking the CBD Module, that left only one matter to attend, Tony Almeida. After a brief pursuit within the boat, leading outside, the defining moment of this season, Jack and Tony, face to face, for the first time in years, since Tony’s apparent death. Seeing Tony reveal himself to Jack, it finally sinking in for Jack, that Tony was in fact, on the other side, allowed us a brief moment to accept that Tony was lost. Then BAM, onto their showdown. Seeing these two face off was one of those true 24 moments. Two former allies and friends, now on two opposite ends of the spectrum, beating the hell out of one another, until Jack manages to apprehend and stop Tony, and even though their battle was around 50 seconds, it was 50 seconds of badass, don't deny it you cynics. And upon the end of the face off, upon seeing Jack defeat Tony, upon watching the bloodied Tony ...
