Mileage: 8256 Sunny, windy,cloudy etc etc.15 - 27. After a lunch break at Sale we headed south, back to the coast and reached Golden Beach, not much there so kept driving until we reached our intended camping spot, Paradise Beach. This camp was free and totally full! A frustrated camper waved us down and told us there were 30 kilometres of free camping spots along the coastal drive back the other way and that he could not understand why everyone wanted to be here!! We needed no further prompting and took the beautiful coastal drive along 90 mile beach searching for our camp site. There were indeed individual sites all along that road but some were definitely 4 wheel drive access, some were decidedly feral and with storms forecast for the night and deciding that without knowledge of the area we may not be safe, we moved along. A few sites were taken over by large groups of unfriendly (they did not wave or acknowledge us) types and we agreed we would drive on to Seaspray. Seaspray is a tiny seaside town on the beautiful 90 Mile Beach; one shop, a holiday park and a community hall. We were surprised to see a thriving Surf Club with a large contingent of members!
