Since there are very few legal standards for essential oils in the US, anything can and is being sold as an essential oil. Some of these oils are not only ineffective, but they can be harmful. At least 95% of all essential oils sold in the US are made in a way that destroys much of plant compounds, making the oils mostly ineffective for healing purposes. There is a way to assure yourself that you have good quality therapeutic oils. Look for EOBBD labeled oils. There are only a few companies out there that have EOBBD certified therapeutic quality oils. I found what I believe is the very best one, and it is the only one I would recommend.
