Intel Core I7 960 Benchmark Test, system temperature, and CPU temperature.

System specs: Intel Core I7 960 Asus X58 Sabertooth motherboard MSI Dual Frozr Geforce GTX 470 1280 gbs Antec 300 case Corsair XMS 2 gb x 4=8 gb of DDR3 1333 Samsung sata 2 500 gb The case is largely responsible for the system running cool. In addition to this, I added two PCI card exhaust fans, one side panel 120 mm fan exhausting the air out of the case, and two 120 mm intake fans. I had a real problem getting the system to run at these low temperatures with the Geforce GTX 470 on my AMD Phenom II 945 system. The Phenom II 945 cpu uses about 95 watts, and the Core I7 960 uses about 130 watts. This is why I reason the case was the reason why the system ran so cool. Prior to running this benchmark, the computer was on hours. Therefore, the temperature that was stated here wasn’t from a cold start. That is the consistent temperature of the system from an endurance test point of view.
