DLC Release 06/29/10 ~ Nickelback Pack 01 "This Afternoon" is the eighth single from rock band Nickelback’s sixth studio album Dark Horse, released on March 23, 2010. The song is an upbeat country rock song reminiscent of "Rockstar". Mike Kroeger commented on the influence of country music on this tune: "It's a big-time part of our background, that whole laid-back, barroom kind of feel. Where we grew up everybody listened to Country." A music video for the song was released on May 4. The video for "This Afternoon" was first shown on the Fuse website and can now be seen as their 'Video Of The Day' for 1st May 2010. During the week of June 4, 2010, the video debuted on CMT's Top Twenty Countdown at #18. The song has been a success on the Billboard Hot 100, climbing every week, and has since reach number thirty-four. It is the band highest charting single since If Today Was Your Last Day and the bands 10th top-forty hit, as well. Burn It to the Ground obviously the best of the pack. Vocals ~ RJUCPU Had a lot of fun with these. I'm not a huge Nickelback fan but I do like a few of their songs and these were all good on vocals regardless if you like the band or not. Lots of phrases and pitch movement and no dull/empty spots.
