Evil Roy Steel Practice Target - A Compilation of Short Clips

This is some more shooting with the Evil Roy portable steel target system, different from those I’ve previously posted. This is a small training exercise a friend and I use. We are unaware of the amount of ammo in our magazines. We tend to use 5 rounds, as this allows for ten drills per box of ammo. When the weapon is empty, it prompts a magazine and target transition. We also call the target for the shooter with the command left or right, or near and far. This command initiates the drill. I've since shot the plate with both 5.56/223 and .308 rifle. The .308, at 100 Yards, gives the plate no discernible damage. However, the 223 does indeed damage the plate. The manufacturer states that this target, the 550 Brinell version, can take rifle rounds if they don't exceed 3000 FPS at the muzzle and the target is a minimum of 100 yards from the weapon. I tried factory ammo, which usually states velocities near or above 3000 FPS, and a small impression was indeed made on the target. Switching to some reloaded 223, the target was again damaged. I'm not sure of the exact velocity of this reload. I will chronograph it and update this description when I have the chance. However, I don't believe this ammo comes near 3000 FPS. In fact, referring to a reloading manual, I'd expect the velocity to be around 2700 FPS.
