Heavens had opened and it was pouring down outside. Trudged through the puddles for a take away breakfast ham, cheese baguette before continuing on to our place of departure. Whilst taking off our dripping jackets two Americans walk in and proceeded to have a conversation about how scary it was crossing the road, the lady saying "I thought I was going to die". Oliver and I look at each other and think "Mate, I think most of the driver's thought the same thing seeing you walk in front of them". This lady was HUGE - American super size HUGE. Ain't no way a tuk tuk was going to come off worse for wear crashing into her. Hahahaaa so yeah get to place we're told to meet at only to be told by a guy "come come, come with me" to which we follow through the buckets of rain and end up just outside the place we bought breakfast. Typical. So the purpose of this journey is to get to Phnom Penh, Cambodia. We're told our VISA's expire on Sat 3 May so we choose a 2 day boat/bus trip up the Mekong River, crossing the boarder on the 3rd. Climb aboard the bus, once again a small tourist bus, which means your knees around your ears. With the added aroma of a bunch of stinking wet people, magnified by our somewhat hungover state, we commence ...
