MySpace Confirms Facebook Sync Deal
"MySpace has finally conceded to rival social networking giant, Facebook, by signing an agreement to allow users to sign on to MySpace using their Facebook accounts. Once a leader in the social networking sphere, MySpace is now struggling to attract new users and retain its existing ones. The new ""Mashup with Facebook"" feature will allow users to sync their status updates on both sites and install Facebook’s ""Like"" button on the MySpace site. MySpace has since, in recent years, redefined itself as a music-discovery, social entertainment hub. CEO Mike Jones said, "We are thrilled to further our collaboration with Facebook through this deal. This new feature is a great illustration of our strategy around social entertainment and enabling the real-time stream.""
