"Victor Who" Soundtrack - Intro/Societys Freak

The Intro to the hour-long TV program that preserves home-movie footage, pictures and recorded music from 1976-1980. The music was taken from cassette or reel to reel tapes, the footage was shot on 8mm film. The project was titled "Victor Who" as guitarist and songwriter Brian Forsberg aka Victor Strange was not willing to cooperate with the producer, hence the name "Victor Who". Victor Who is the title of the movie. The movie concept was intended to preserve the footage and music of Victor Strange & the Cubes, a local garage band from the late 70’s. The project quickly morphed into a visual documentary of Duluth MN in the late 70's early 80's. Brian Forsberg aka Victor Strange refused to cooperate with the Producer's, hence the film title. Fat City Brats was a jam band made up of three friends and at times roomates, lead guitarist and vocalist on this track Brian Forsberg later said he was saying Queen, it sounded like Freak, so the name Society's "Freak" stuck. The song was created spontaneously with the band's drummer Greg Dudek on rhythm guitar while guitarist Kenny Kalligher sat behind the drum kit. This track was recorded directly onto cassette tape in the dining room of the "Palmer House". The Palmer House was the name of the "alley house" where we lived in the alley above 5th St. between 10th and 11th Ave East.
