This place is CRAZY! Smelly, busy, trying, tiring, poor and well they call it the Pink City (Stink City more like it)... My friend Trev joined me on Friday in Goa. Was so pleased to see her! I had been hassled so much in Baga! The taxi drivers are relentless. Eventually I had to shout out that I wasn't in need of a taxi, and if I wanted one I knew where to go. It helped for about a minute! :-) We left yesterday for Jaipur from Goa via Mombay (as I keep calling it by mistake!) Why do they have to have new names for places? We are staying in a homestay - that's in someone's house and they are registered. It's quite different but cool as in a bit more personal. The guy's daughter is SO cute - I could seriously take her with me. The children here are just so beautiful! I fell in love with a little baby girl today. She was holding my hand, staring in my eyes and looking at me lovingly and fascinated with the shiny lettering on my t-shirt. Could have easily put her in my backpack. Today we've done a tour of the city. Pretty interesting but struggled to understand what our leader was saying half the time. The Indian tourists on the bus completed loved us! Buying us ice-creams and sharing their food with us and looking out for us all the time. Poor Trev was ...
