민주·선진 야2당 한, 성무용 후보 고발 : 검찰,고발,김한준,김한준기자,민주당,선진당,성무용,시장,중도일보,지방선거,천안,한나라당,후보ㆍ영상길이 : 01:45ㆍ등록자 : 중도일보ㆍ등록일시 : 2010.05.10 (20:21) 성무용 천안시장 예비후보와 천안시 일부 간부공무원들의 관권선거의혹에 대해 야당이 이를 검찰에 고발했다. 민주당 이규희, 선진당 구본떿 천안시장 예비후보는 10일 오전 천안시청에서 기자간담회를 갖고 성 후보와 천안시청 공무원, 천안시의원 예비후보 등 5명에 대해 사전선거와 관권선거 혐의로 대전지검 천안지청에 수사를 의뢰했다. 이들은 고발장을 통해“성무용 천안시장과 천안시청 일부 공무원들이 헌법과 공직선거법에 엄격히 금지된‘지위를 이용한 사전선거운동 및 관권선거운동’으로 선거 분위기를 혼탁하게 만들고 있다”며“공무원을 조직적으로 동원하려는 시장과 줄서기 하려는 공무원들의 부정행위에 쐐기를 박기 위해 야당 공동으로 고발한다”고 밝혔다. 고발 혐의에 대해“지난달 7일 천안시 성정동 한 식당에서 성무용 시장이 시 공무원들에게 한나라당 시의원 예비후보에게 세력을 모아 달라고 한 것은 지위를 이용해 특정후보의 선거운동을 한 행위”라고 주장했다. 이어“성 시장은 지난달 23일도 쌍용동 한 식당에서 시청 공무원 50여명이 모인 자리에서 3선 출마의사를 밝히고 지지를 호소했다”며“공무원들 또한 성 시장 3선 승리를 위한 목적임을 스스로 선언하고‘일당백’을 결의하는 등 선거운동 중립의무를 심각히 위반했다”고 지적했다. 야당 후보들은“현직 자치단체장이 공무원을 선거조직으로 이용하려는 행위와 공무원들의 줄서기 관행이 횡행한 분위기는 야당후보들의 정정당당한 경쟁을 의도적으로 방해하는 것인 만큼 피해가 불가피하다”고 지적했다. 향응제공 여부에 대해서도 수사를 의뢰했다. 이들은“당시 모임이 자발적 성격으로 보이지만 개회 당시 성 시장을 지지하기 위한 자리라고 명시한 만큼 향응제공 가능성을 배제할 수 없다”며 철저한 수사를 촉구했다. 이규희 민주당 천안시장후보는 부정선거는 민주주의 근간을 흔드는 것이어서 결국 그 피해자는 고스란히 시민들에게 돌아온다”며“공직선거와 관련한 부정행위에 대해 정확한 수사가 이루어져 일벌백계해야 할 것”이라고 말했다. 구본영 선진당 천안시장후보도“선거는 우리나라와 민주주의를 지탱하는 초석으로 가...
