Jeffs Retirement Party, March 19, 2011

It was nice to see that Jeff had about 40 friends who thought enough of him over the years to brave the weather and attend his surprise retirement party. He was surprised!! Just a little back round fun on how this became a surprise. Susan called me about 10 days prior suggesting the party, we shared a few names back and forth and began. Susan was able to find and call all except two names via Jeff’s database. I ordered the Cake and Susan Reserved Margarita's. Piece'a Cake, until we find that Velita has finished Her work up here and has asked Jeff to change her airline tickets for Thursday, that would be two days before the party. Scrambling both Susan and I reached Velita at about the same time to give her heads up, whew close one. Jeff called shortly after to say how fickle woman are or maybe that it's what I explained to him as he was confused by Velita's change of itinerary. OK, so Saturday morning they are snowed in, two feet of snow and still snowing. Fortunately Jan was able to call in a favor at Elam Biggs B&B and with Velitia's encouragement Jeff agreed to stay in town. Thanks to Cortney for watching Jeff's dog Logan. The rest is history, now if we can all scheme to make Jeff & Velita hate San Diego and come back HOME.
