Florida Man Files Crazy Lawsuit.

Earlier this week, Gainesville, Florida native John D. Gillian filed one of the stranger lawsuits in recent memory. According to the Orlando Sentinel, Gillan asked for restraining orders against Jesus Christ, Barack Obama and Denver Broncos and former Florida quarterback Tim Tebow*. Seriously. *Of all the people mentioned, Tebow has to be the most unrealistic of the trio? Right? The reason? Well, I will let the Sentinel’s recap tell the tale of the tape. Gilliand makes reference to Tebow, Obama and Jesus as part of gangs or making gang symbols at him. He states in all three that he is not a Gator and never went to Florida. Unsurprisingly, the petitions were denied the same day that Gillian submitted them. So the President and Tebow can feel safe when planning any upcoming trips to middle Florida. Inevitably, the story picked up steam on a national level, causing many to poke fun at the lawsuit and its filer. Taking a closer look, though, we found that Gillian's claims are not unsubstantiated.
