At the start of the episode, the girls still in the competition are (in alphabetical order) Alexis, Carrie, Cassandra, Charlye, Chrystina, Ilisa, Jamie, Jenna, Megan, Natalie, Nichole and Tiffanie.The girls receive tips from the Pussycat Dolls about having confidence, and *NSync’s JC Chasez pays the girls a surprise visit. Then, as they are divided into groups for the week's performance, one girl's lack of confidence begins to cause fights — and tears -- among several of the girls. One girl will be forced to hang up her boa after failing to impress the judges with her singing and dancing.
