Who I am (a Jonas sister story)-5

The first sounds I hear are "beep. Beep. Beep." A man is next to me saying, "Rachael! If you can hear me, squeeze my hand." Hesistantly, I squeeze his hand. "Okay, good," he says, "Now I need you to try opening your eyes." I take a deep breath and open my eyelids, just a little. Everything is so bright, so I close my eyes again. "Try again," he says. This time I force myself to keep them open. The whole room looks fuzzy, but after a few seconds it clears up. Where am I? Then I see a bunch of people crowded around me. They’re all wearing matching green suits and wearing face masks. Who are they? Where's everybody else? Why are there pipes coming out of my arm? What happened? I'm so confused!! The guy next to me starts proding and poking me, looking in my ears, eyes, throat, listening to my heart, and all kinds of other weird things. Then he says something to a lady next to him, and she leads me out of the room and into a long hall. At the end of the hall is another room, and there is a boy in the doorway. As we get closer, I see it is Kevin! I want to run over to him, but I'm attached to a weird rolling pole thing. When we finally get there, I grab onto his leg and decide I'm never letting go. Everyone else is in the room too. The lady talks to Mrs. Jonas for a long time. When she's done, she tells me that she is going to take me to my room. Mrs. Jonas tells me to follow the lady, but I won't let go of Kevin. The lady lets Kevin come with us. We walk down another long ...
