WP7 Game Review: Paper Games (WMPowerUser.com)

This is a Windows Phone 7 video review of Paper Games, reviewed by Andrew Bares from wmpoweruser.com Paper Games is a little collection of four different classic games Capture (otherwise called Dots), Pipe Layer, Tic-Tac-Toe, and Hangman. Overall Score: 2/5 If the game had an option to change the size of the grid for Capture and Pipe Layer, the game would be a whole lot better. Also, if you could play the first three games against a computer, that would increase the lasting value greatly. Finally, the game needs a better saving system. Gameplay: 2/5 Since you can find better versions of each game in the Marketplace, this collection of multiple games ranks pretty low. Capture and Pipe Layer need an option to change the size of the grid, otherwise the game is always the same. Tic-Tac-Toe is normal and works fine but it, Capture, and Pipe Layer could all use a computer AI opponent to play against. Hangman is pretty good since you can create your own words or have the computer generate a word for you, and you can also choose your difficulty. Overall, since there are better versions of these games in the marketplace, the gameplay gets a low score. Presentation: 3/5 The visual design is good, but there aren’t any sounds in the game at all. And while the load speeds and resuming speeds are great, there's no way to save your current game, meaning if you close out of the game and re-launch it from the Xbox Live hub, you will loose your last game.
