Ja Rule - Saarbrucken Germany and Ghent

As the flagship artist for Irv Gotti’s Murder Inc label, New York's superstar gangsta rapper Ja Rule established himself as the world's most commercially successful rap artist in the early 2000's. First making the spotlight as the front man of the rap collective Cash, Money Click, Ja Rule went on to become a highly-influential figure in the field of crossover rap. Since 1999 he has notched up a veritable string of hits on the national Billboard singles Many of these hits were collaborations with major artists, on which he toned down his earlier, hardcore thug rapper style and contrasted it most effectively with the sweet chorus singing of several international divas. Three of these featured divas were Jennifer Lopez (two number ones with her, 'I'm Real' and 'Ain't It Funny'), Ashanti (another number one with 'Always On Time' as well as a number two with 'Mesmerize') and Mary J. Blige ('Rainy Dayz', number twelve). His first six albums all made the national Billboard album top 10, two of them making the coveted top spot. As well as his solo and duet success in the music field, Ja Rule has made a name for himself as a movie actor as well as building up a successful business empire which includes merchandising his own range of fashion clothing and on-line gambling. Here we see Ja Rule captured on stage during his successful 2005 European tour performing all his hits. As well as the four mega hits mentioned above, these include such other top twenty smashes as 'Between Me And You', 'Put It On Me', 'Livin' It Up', ?Down 4 U' and 'Mesmerize'.
