Canadian Engineering and Tool Co., Ltd., or CET, has been in business since 1922 as a premier tool and die facility. They specialize in manufacturing transfer tools, line tools and progressive tools as well as specialty tools such as hot stamping dies. Through the years, CET has grown to an 86400 sq. ft. manufacturing facility with a 90 man skilled trade work force. They have taken a progressive path to streamline and utilize all departments servicing their customers more efficiently with better quality at a lower cost. The CET design process begins by offering full product simulation using Dyna-form software. This confirms the process to enable recommendations to the customer to ensure superior quality. All designs are done in 3d solid using Catia V5 software. Once the customer is totally satisfied with the designs, the process continues onto the shop floor where CET will cut to data using one of the vast number of CNC manufacturing machines. Once these dies are completed they will be proven out in one of numerous presses that are located on the shop floor. With tonnage capacity ranging from 300 tonnes to 4000 tonnes and bed sizes up to 180 inches, they have the capability to prove out and buy off full body sides.
