Buddy

i Terry it’s Laura Sue's friend. I rescued Buddy in Ocitillo Well's & Plaster City Nov 8th. Oct 3o he was seen lying near the railroad tracks but ran when approached. Very skittish. So for the next almost 2 weeks I posted ads on Craigs list S.D. L.A. & Imperial County asking for help in locating him. I needed to pin point an area so i could trap him. I went to Plaster City West Nov 7th and drove through the desert floor for 1/2 mile near where he was last seen, and placed feeding stations under bushes. I then handed out flyers that me and my friend made, to everyone in the area camping. And posted them in town. We went home exausted and let down. But at 6:00 am the next morning I got a call from a camper in Plaster City West. He siad Buddy circled their campsight the night before, and by morning wondered in Very hungry and thirsty and plopped him self down by the fire. I told them not to feed him any more, and that I will be down to trap him. When I got there, Buddy was sitting next to a woman and there were kids and dogs tied, and other people standing around. I slowly approached the camp fire to see his demeaner and nelt down quietly offering him treats. He took them, but then proceeded to snarl and came at me. I used a chair to protect myself and then he got protective and tried to lung at another man there. I backed off and told everyone to just stay still and calm. I took the trap out, placed cat food in it and he went right in. I drove Buddy to the Boxer Rescue in Lakeside. The woman who ran the rescue told me she had been following my e-mails on C/L and would love to help. I took Buddy there, and long story short, she wound up getting raided a few months later and all the dogs including Buddy wound up in the shelter under a 4mo. investigation. I went to see him all the time and brought him treats. He was getting more and more depressed in there.
