I moved into a flat with 3 girls off of Old Shoreham road which was a 20 minute walk to the city centre and the beach. I first arrived in Brighton the end of November and planned to live here for 4 months. It was convenient to be in Brighton since it is very close to Gatwick airport and the train system was hassle free. There are loads of bars, restaurants, and sites to see to keep you busy. I found Brighton a very social city, there are always people out for coffee, drinks, or just a stroll and the pubs are usually busy. I came in the winter season so the pier and the beach wasn't as busy as it would be in the summer but still it is full of banter and fun times. The North lanes are full of shops, cafes and second hand stores that add a character of its own to the city. The streets are very vibrant and colourful and you can really feel the artistic appeal of Brighton. Some of my favourite places were; Pitcher and Piano, a great bar, lounge, restaurant that has good drink deals; Casa Blanca, which plays great live music down stairs with a selection of funk and jazz; The Arc which was more of a club setting but smaller than the others so it had more of an intimate feeling and Oceana, a bigger club that has different ...
