最上級のサービス猛勉強中　はやぶさアテンダント候補生

　東北新幹線で３月から走る最速の新型車両「Ｅ５系」の「はやぶさ」で、スピードと並んで注目されるのが新幹線初のファーストクラス「グランクラス」だ。専任アテンダントの候補生たちは、最上級のサービスを身につけようと猛勉強中だ。　ＪＲ東日本が「最上級車両」と位置づけるグランクラスは１編成に１両で座席数はわずか１８席。本革の広々としたシートを横３列に配置した。沿線の食材を使った弁当と、ビールやワインなどアルコール飲料の無料サービスもある。料金は東京―新青森で２万６３６０円。グリーン車より５千円高い。　研修を受ける候補生は１９人。各地の在来線や新幹線で一定の乗務経験がある約５０人の応募者から作文と面接試験で選ばれた。昨年１２月から埼玉県川口市の研修センターで、実際の運行時間に合わせ、様々な場面を想定した接客方法を学んでいる。　１９人は今後、「はやぶさ」の試運転に合わせた実車訓練などを経て、最終的にうち１３人が専任アテンダント１期生に選ばれる。（宮嶋加菜子）
