See this TripWow and more at tripwow.tripadvisor.com Daecheon Beach S Korea "The day started with 5 foreigners piling in a tiny car driving for about an hour west of Gongju. We were heading to the west coast of S Korea which lies on the shores of the Yellow Sea. Sandy (Canadian), Charles (American), Elaine (Aussie), Baho (a Korean) and myself were planning on visiting the beach this last weekend of May. Upon arriving into the city we made a stop at Home Plus to pick up food and other things for the barbeque we were planning. We checked into the Drama hotel which is right on Deacheon beach. I stayed in room 308 and my other foreigner friends were scattered on the 2nd, 5th and 3rd floors. We got settled into our rooms then Elaine and I headed to the beach for a walk. I actually liked this beach better than Haeundae beach in Busan. We were with Baho a Korean who is a close friend of Sandy’s. He was able to inquire about having a barbeque and found out that we could cook on the 8th floor at the top of the hotel. It was a great setting with several picnic tables that had grills in the center. We easily unloaded our cooking gear and grilled our steaks while drinking beer and socializing. It was wonderful. Elaine had taught English in Boryeong not far from Daecheon beach for a couple years and met other foreigners who joined us on the roof top. As the night was winding down ...
