He started out his career with Limp Bizkit and since then has been the Security Director and personal bodyguard for four #1 rock bands and solo acts including Fred Durst, Amy Lee and Evanescence, Aaron Lewis and Staind. He is currently the Security Director for the #1 rock band in the whole world, Nickelback. He’s been a bodyguard for stars like Ben Stiller, Pauly Shore, Carmen Electra, and Kid Rock. Richie Surrency has done it all and established himself as an icon in the industry. But every legend needs a Protégé. Every top dog needs an understudy. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for all types of ‘Wannabes’ from around the country, to compete to become the next great “Rock Cop”. A nationwide search will seek out the best participants with the abilities to take their local skills to the next level. Inundated with bar room bouncers, security guards, weightlifters, former athletes, mixed martial arts specialists, and rock fans, Richie’s team will sift through the unqualified to narrow it down to 12 legitimate hopefuls. The ultimate winner will obtain a security detail alongside Richie and travel the world protecting the greatest rock stars and celebrities in the industry today. The show will take place in Jacksonville, Florida, birthplace of such bands as Lynard Skynard, 38 Special, Limp Bizkit, and Shinedown. The participants will all live together in a mansion on the historic St. John’s River while Richie recreates the daily conditions that he faces on the road.
